How it works
How the Ad Account Shield checker works
Ad Account Shield's free checker reads your Facebook or Instagram ad before you upload it and estimates how likely Meta is to reject it. It gives a rejection-risk score from 0 to 100, points to the exact phrases or frames at fault with the Meta policy behind each, and suggests a fix. It works from Meta's published Advertising Standards and cannot see Meta's own review. Ad Account Shield is independent and not affiliated with Meta.
What you give it
Paste the parts of the ad you want checked.
- Primary text (the ad copy)
- Headline and landing page link, if you have them (the link is read as text; the page isn't opened)
- A category: health, fitness and supplements; beauty and skincare; finance, insurance and money; crypto and trading; general ecommerce; local or professional services; or something else
- Optionally, up to 4 images (JPG, PNG or WebP) or one video (MP4 or MOV)
What you get back
Each check returns the same set of results.
- A rejection-risk score from 0 to 100
- The exact phrases, images or video frames at fault, each with the Meta policy behind it
- A fix for each issue
- A rewritten, safer version of the ad when issues are found, unlocked when you add your email
What it looks for
The checker focuses on the parts of Meta's Advertising Standards that most often get ads rejected and accounts restricted.
- Personal attributes: copy that implies something about the reader
- Unrealistic outcomes: specific weight-loss figures, short timeframes, guaranteed or miracle results and body shaming
- Medical claims: claims that a product cures, heals or treats a condition
- Income and financial claims: guaranteed returns, risk-free promises and get-rich-quick wording
- Restricted and prohibited products: categories with extra rules, such as crypto, gambling, dating, alcohol, supplements and vapes
- Special Ad Categories that must be declared
- Sensational content: clickbait, all-caps shouting and engagement bait
- Meta brand use: wording that implies Facebook or Instagram endorses the product
- Creatives: text on images, before-and-after photos, body close-ups, fake buttons, Meta logos and prohibited products, in images and video frames
- Suspicious links: URL shorteners, redirects and domains that don't match the brand
How images and video are handled
Images are shrunk in your browser, checked, then discarded. The checker also reads text on the image. Videos never leave your browser: it takes 4 still frames from across the video, including the opening hook, and sends only those. We keep a fingerprint of each image, a short code rather than the image, so the same image gets the same answer.
What it can't do
The checker is an estimate, not a verdict.
- It can't see Meta's own review, so a low score is a good sign, not a guarantee.
- It doesn't check voiceover or audio.
- It reads 4 frames of a video, not every frame.
- It reads the landing page link you give but doesn't open or fetch the page, so check the page yourself.
Free limits
The checker is free. You get 3 checks a day without signing up, and 15 a day if you add your email. Checking exactly the same ad again returns the saved result and doesn't use up a check.
What happens to your data
We keep the ad text, headline, landing page link, category and result for 12 months, then delete them automatically. Images and video frames are not stored; only a fingerprint of each is kept. We keep a scrambled version of your IP address to apply the daily limit, not your actual IP address. Your email, if you add it, is kept until you ask us to delete it. To delete your data, email ahmed@adaccountshield.com with the subject "Delete my data".
- Vercel hosts the website, runs the checker and counts visits without cookies.
- Supabase is the database where checks are stored.
- Anthropic provides the AI model that reads your ad. Under its commercial terms it doesn't use this data to train its models by default.
- We don't sell your data or show your ads or results to other users.
How to use the result
Treat the score as a pre-upload warning. Fix the flagged lines, check again, then upload. If Meta still rejects the ad, the reason it gives in Business Support Home is what counts. The checker helps ads follow Meta's policies; it doesn't help anyone get around them.
Questions
Is the checker free?
Yes. You get 3 checks a day without signing up, and 15 a day if you add your email. Adding your email also unlocks the rewritten, safer version of your ad.
How accurate is it?
It estimates risk from Meta's published Advertising Standards and flags the patterns that most often get ads rejected. It cannot see Meta's internal review, so a low score is a good sign, not a guarantee.
Does it check images and videos?
Yes. Upload up to 4 images or one video. For a video it checks 4 frames from across it, including the opening hook, and it reads text on images. It doesn't check voiceover or audio yet.
Do you store my images?
No. Images and video frames are checked, then discarded; only a fingerprint of each image is kept. Video files never leave your browser.
Is it affiliated with Meta?
No. Ad Account Shield is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta.
