Review process · Request another review
How do I request another review of a rejected Meta ad?
If you believe Meta rejected your ad by mistake, you can request another review in Meta Business Support Home, and Meta aims to decide within 48 hours. If the ad does break a rule, edit it or create a new compliant ad instead, because a second rejection of the same ad cannot be appealed again.
When a review makes sense
- You read the rejection reason and the ad does not do what the policy describes. Meta’s review relies mainly on automated technology, and Meta says both machines and people make mistakes.“Rejected for Personal Attributes, but the copy never mentions the viewer.”
- The policy named in the notice does not match your product or offer, for example a social issues flag on an ad that only sells a product.“A refrigerator ad flagged as being about environmental politics.”
- An ad that ran for weeks is suddenly rejected. Meta can select previously approved ads for another review, for example after people hide, block or report them, and Meta says both machines and people make mistakes.“An approved evergreen ad rejected after a spike in engagement.”
- The rejection points at something you have already fixed, such as a landing page that was briefly broken.“The page was down for an hour while the site was updated.”
- You are unsure whether the ad breaks the rule. In that case, read the policy first; a review only helps when you believe the ad complies.“The ad says “feel better” and you are not sure if it counts as a health claim.”
How to request a review
- Open Meta Business Support Home from the rejection email or at facebook.com/business-support-home, and read the exact reason given for the ad.
- Check the whole ad against that policy: text, image, video, targeting and the landing page. Meta’s review can include all of them.
- If the ad does break the rule, do not request a review. Edit the ad in Ads Manager or Meta Business Suite, or create a new compliant ad; an edited ad is submitted for review again automatically.
- If you believe it was rejected incorrectly, select the account with the rejected ad in Business Support Home, select the ad, ad set or campaign, then click Request review and Submit.
- Do not delete the rejected ad while you might appeal. Meta says you may lose the ability to request another review once it is deleted.
- Track the request in Business Support Home. If the decision is reversed and the campaign is active, the ad starts delivering again automatically.
After you request a review
- Requesting a review does not count against you. Meta says it will not hurt your standing in any way, and an overturned rejection does not count as an ad violation.
- If the review comes back rejected, the ad stays rejected and you cannot request another review of that same ad. Fix the problem or create a new compliant ad.
- Do not re-upload the same rejected ad under a new name, a new ad account or vaguer wording to get it through. That is not a fix, and severe or repeated violations can restrict the account.
- Keep records: the rejection notice, screenshots of the ad and landing page, and the date you requested the review.

This supplement ad combines a personal-attribute callout, a specific weight-loss result, guaranteed results, clickbait and a URL shortener, so it is very likely to be rejected.

“Are you struggling with belly fat?” · primary text
The ad asserts a personal characteristic about the viewer by addressing them directly about a body condition.
Fix: Our gummies are designed to support a healthy metabolism.
“helped Maria lose 12 kg in 3 weeks!!!” · primary text
A specific weight-loss amount within a short timeframe is an exaggerated, unrealistic result, and supplement ads must target 18+.
Fix: Remove the specific result; use a general statement such as 'Part of a balanced routine for healthy weight management.'
“GUARANTEED RESULTS” · headline
Guaranteed results are a prohibited claim for health and weight-loss products.
Fix: Use 'Start your wellness routine today' or remove the claim entirely.
“Doctors hate this one trick.” · primary text
This is classic clickbait, and the triple exclamation marks add to the sensational tone.
Fix: Replace with 'Learn how our gummies fit into a healthy routine.'
“See the before and after pics.” · primary text
Before-and-after comparisons for weight loss are high risk and draw rejection.
Fix: Remove the before-and-after reference and focus on the product's ingredients.
“https://bit.ly/slim-offer” · landing page
URL shorteners hide the true destination and are high risk, and can lead to account-level enforcement.
Fix: Use the full, direct landing page URL on the brand's own domain.

Also change: Link: replace the bit.ly shortener with the full, direct URL on your own brand domain, and make sure the landing page has no before-and-after photos, guaranteed-result claims or specific weight-loss numbers. Creative: remove any before-and-after images and any overlay text about kilos lost. Show the product or lifestyle shots instead, with overlay text like "Support your healthy routine". Set ad targeting to 18+.
Questions
How long does a Meta ad review request take?
Meta says it aims to review and give a decision within 48 hours. You can check the status of the request at any time in Business Support Home.
Will requesting a review hurt my ad account?
No. Meta states that requesting another review of an ad will not hurt your standing with Meta in any way. If the rejection is overturned, it does not count as an ad violation.
Can I appeal the same ad twice?
No. If Meta rejects the ad again after the review, it stays rejected and you cannot submit another review request for that ad.
Who reviews my appeal?
Meta says it relies more heavily on teams of human reviewers for re-review requests than for the first review. It also says it cannot promise to get every decision right, even on re-review.
Should I delete the rejected ad and start again?
Not if you want to appeal. Meta warns that deleting a rejected ad may remove your ability to request another review, and editing or deleting it does not remove the violation from your account.
Can your checker appeal for me?
No. Our free checker at /check estimates policy risk in ad copy and creative before upload. Only Meta can review and reverse its own decisions.
